Is a music festival your dream photoshoot location?

Envision festival is the perfect backdrop for your elopement, your maternity or in this case - your engagement session!

Kimmie and Jordi’s engagement session at Envision Festival in Costa Rica

What a gift it was to explore Envision festival with these two! We explored so many different areas of the festival including a few different stages and the beach at sunset. I was super grateful for their sense of adventure, their willingness to be spontaneous and the trust they placed in me!

Consider choosing a music festival for your photoshoot location

Music festivals are visual feasts for the eyes and Envision Festival is the cream of the crop in that regard. With an abundance of colours, eclectic costumes with no end in sight and mesmerizing lights and stages - it’s an absolutely vibrant photoshoot location. Hiring a photographer at a festival is like taking a kid to a candy shop - the options are thrilling and endless and the guarantee is absolutely iconic and unique photos that are going to blow your mind.

Every nook and cranny of a music festival contributes not only to the visual aesthetic of your photos but also of your shared experience together. From the golden hour glow of sunset photos on the beach to the euphoric neon-lit nights that come alive with fervour, festivals provide an unparalleled atmosphere that you can experience together as a couple, nurture spontaneity and embrace documenting a real life adventure together.

Tips for using Envision Festival as your dream photoshoot location!

- Book your shoot earlier in the week: the closer it is to the weekend festivities, the more crowded it gets at Envision festival. Consider booking your photoshoot on one of the first days of the festival, between the Monday - Wednesday

- Schedule your session either for sunrise or sunset: I would personally embrace how busy it gets during sunset so so that you’re able to capture the true essence and vibes of a music festival - even though that means there’ll be a lot of people in the background of your photos. If you’d prefer for it to feel a bit more intimate, then consider scheduling your session for sunrise.

- What to wear: Wear an outfit that you’d actually wear to a music festival as opposed to thinking about what you would wear for your photoshoot.

- Leave everything in your tent: so that you’re not carrying anything. That way your photographer can capture more candid photos of you!
